In 10 years, I see myself ... as a pediatrician and having a human services degree.
Being a woman means … being strong, independent and responsible.
I define success as … the accomplishment of a goal.
Mama always told me … never back down on your plans. Keep going no matter what.
I admire my mother because … she raised my sister and me by herself when she was only 18 years old. She has been my mother and father. It was hard for her, but she had to be a strong woman so we could have the life we have today.
Another woman I admire is … my grandmother because she has been a second mother for me. She supported my mom when she was pregnant at a really young age. She never left her alone.
Best advice I have received: Always carry a pen with you because then you will never need it.
For fun I like to … dance! When I am really stressed or tired, I turn on my music and just dance.
My dream job is … working with children.
Something I have always wanted to do or learn: Sky diving.
My proudest moment so far … was when I was nominated for and won the Harkins Foundation 2009 Outstanding Youth Award. A panel of five judges chose me based on participation in volunteering, outstanding work in the church, school and community, and overall personality.
The best thing in my wardrobe: My quince dress. It means a lot to me, and it brings back a lot of good memories.
The piece of technology I can’t live without: A cell phone because it can be used anywhere.
